Construction work at Hintersee resumed after the winter break

21.03.2023

Restoration of the state road expected to be completed by Pentecost

In recent days, construction work for the restoration of the state road St2099 at Hintersee has resumed after the necessary winter break. While work can still be carried out under traffic initially, the traffic management from last year will be set up again in the coming weeks. A one-way regulation will be signposted, allowing traffic from the direction of Hirschbichl to pass the inns up to Hintersee, while the road will be closed in the opposite direction from the bus turnaround. The completion of the construction work is scheduled for Pentecost.

In mid-September of last year, road construction work for the restoration of the state road St2099 at Hintersee in Ramsau began and was carried out intensively until the winter break just before Christmas. This construction measure not only addresses the poor road condition but also the inadequate drainage facilities, bringing the road drainage up to current technical standards with so-called sedimentation systems. By the winter break, the installation of these sedimentation systems, the replacement of an existing culvert at the junction with Hirschbichlstraße, and the redesign of the roadway at the guesthouses were completed. In the coming weeks, the junction area into Hirschbichlstraße will be adjusted, and the bus turnaround will be restored. The completion of the construction measure will be the asphalting with the application of the new surface layer, expected before Pentecost. The State Building Authority Traunstein asks the affected residents and road users for their understanding and patience regarding the restrictions during the construction work.
