SWIETELSKY Environmental Technology and SWIETELSKY Construction Company jointly carried out the work for the State Building Authority Traunstein.
In Buchenhöhe 6, during the fall of 2022, as part of the remediation of contaminated sites, the structural remains of basement foundations and a tunnel facility were demolished, and contaminated fill was removed from the property to enable future use. Due to the confined location of the construction site between existing residential buildings, access roads, and the existing slope, precise planning and execution of the construction logistics and efficient removal of excavated material were of great importance.
Since the discovery of unexploded ordnance could not be ruled out, remediation work such as excavation, deep demolition, and shoring was accompanied by the ordnance search service. To reduce the amounts to be disposed of, the waste generated was processed and incorporated on-site for recycling as much as possible. It was important to sort recyclable materials, such as concrete and contaminated components, cleanly. The non-recyclable fractions showed pollutant loads up to and including DKI and were disposed of properly.
