New building of the fire department Bad Aibling – construction under special conditions

In Heubergstraße in Bad Aibling, the new building of the local fire department is currently being constructed under the leadership of SWIETELSKY – a technically demanding project that places the highest requirements on planning, logistics, and construction execution.

The new fire station includes modern vehicle halls and functional operational areas that are specifically tailored to the needs of a high-performance fire department. The implementation is carried out in prefabricated construction, with wall sections up to 7.50 meters high and weighing 7 tons being precisely positioned on site. A mobile crane with a boom height of 45 meters is used for this – a logistical masterpiece, especially under the given conditions.

Because: The construction takes place while the fire department is operating continuously. This means that access and exits for emergency vehicles must be kept clear around the clock. Therefore, delivery of building materials is only possible from one side of the construction site. This limited accessibility poses special demands on the daily coordination of all trades and the precise timing of processes.

Despite these challenges, the project is currently on schedule. The completion of the shell construction is planned for the end of July 2025. This will realize another important step towards strengthening public infrastructure in Bad Aibling – efficiently, functionally, and with a focus on the future.
