After about seven months of intensive construction work, the county road BGL 3 between Laufen and Saaldorf-Surheim is open to traffic again. The official opening took place during a press event together with District Administrator Bernhard Kern and the mayors Hans Feil (Laufen) and Andreas Buchwinkler (Saaldorf-Surheim). Road users can once again benefit from a safe and comfortable connection, which is even available slightly earlier than originally planned.
Our team from the Traunstein branch was responsible for the renewal of the roadway and the road drainage. The following work was carried out as part of the construction project:
- Renewal of the roadway: Strengthening of the substructure and application of a new asphalt surface layer according to currently applicable guidelines.
- Modern road drainage: Construction of sedimentation and lamella clarifiers to clean the road water and sustainably secure the water quality of Lake Abtsdorfer.
- Adjustment of the municipal sewer system: Integration of urban and municipal wastewater and stormwater channels into the new separation system.
These measures ensure both traffic safety and environmental protection. At the same time, the region is being made future-proof for construction and infrastructure projects.
The project was implemented in close cooperation with the Berchtesgadener Land district, the city of Laufen, the municipality of Saaldorf-Surheim, and the participant community of Lake Abtsdorfer. With the completion of county road BGL 3, Swietelsky Germany once again demonstrates its expertise in road construction, infrastructure, and sustainable water technology. Thanks to professional planning, state-of-the-art technology, and dedicated teams, a project has been successfully completed that optimally combines traffic safety, environmental protection, and regional mobility.
