The Swietelsky Construction Company Germany (Headquarters in Traunstein and Civil Engineering Branch Biburg) renovated the local thoroughfare and a roundabout in Pollenried in the municipality of Nittendorf during the Whitsun holidays 2023.
SWIETELSKY Germany carried out various surface construction works from May 30 to June 7, 2023, on behalf of the state building authority of Regensburg between the roundabout in Pollenried and the Nittendorf highway interchange (A3). The renovation of this section of State Road 2660 in the western district of Regensburg was necessary due to the existing structure showing countless surface cracks and damage.
Within just one week, including work on the weekend, the road construction work took place over a length of 1,100m, which required a complete closure of traffic during this time. The existing roadway was milled down by 12 cm, followed by the installation of a 10 cm thick binder layer SMA 22 B S and a thin layer DSH-V 5 in hot installation on sealing. In the area of the sidewalks, curbs were lowered, and some damage spots and driveways were repaired. To prevent rut formation, a semi-rigid surface layer was installed in the area of the traffic light system.
