Construction starts in October 2023
Construction work on the sewer network will begin on Wednesday, October 4, in Gabelsbergerstraße and Güterhallenstraße.
Calculations of the Traunstein sewer network have shown that the underground sewer in Gabelsbergerstraße needs to be larger to adequately handle water during heavy rainfall. Therefore, the sewer will be enlarged in the adjacent Güterhallenstraße, along the Annette-Kolb-Gymnasium (AKG).
The construction work will take place between October 4 and spring of next year. This timeframe was intentionally set before the completion of the Campus Chiemgau so that a bypass can be constructed on its open spaces. The construction measures at Campus Chiemgau and the school operations at AKG will not be affected.
The city of Traunstein, as the client, is investing 2.4 million euros in the construction work.
