In the municipality of Durbach, our branch in Biberach was able to realize the complete new construction of a water storage tank with a capacity of 500 m³ – a forward-looking infrastructure project to secure the drinking water supply. The work began in April 2024 and was successfully completed in June 2025.
A look at the technical key data:
- Construction of a new water storage tank with a volume of 500 m³
- Establishment of a 450 m long diversion route to secure resident access
- Installation of over 920 m of wastewater channels and water pipes
- Installation of a pressure reduction shaft to enable the connection of various storage tanks
- Installation of approximately 1,300 m of low-voltage cables including empty conduit connections
- Setting a total of 30 shafts
- Renewal of road drainage in several areas
- Installation of the gravel base layer as well as the load-bearing and surface layer
Extension through horizontal directional drilling
As part of an additional contract, we carried out a horizontal directional drilling together with our colleagues from Wadle Bau: The pilot bore was made to a length of 180 m, then enlarged to 550 mm, and three PE pipes were pulled in. These will serve to connect existing and new water and power lines in the future.
