Successful switch reconstruction in Heilbronn-Klingenberg

05.01.2026

In the area of Heilbronn-Klingenberg, SWIETELSKY Germany successfully completed a demanding railway construction project. Despite changeable and sometimes very adverse weather conditions, the project was implemented on schedule – a testament to the high commitment, precision, and flexibility of the entire team.

As part of the project, five switches were renewed. Additionally, 30 to 50 meters of connecting tracks in conventional construction were replaced for each switch. The switch foundations were completely replaced. After the completion of the track and switch work, the necessary tamping work and the partial construction of a deep drainage system were carried out to ensure the permanent stability and operational safety of the facilities.

Project key figures at a glance:

  • Old rails: 810 m
  • Old sleepers: 519 pieces
  • Old ballast: 1,121 m³
  • New rails: 368 m
  • New sleepers: 519 pieces
  • New gravel: 425 t

The project was carried out entirely conventionally. Through close coordination among all parties involved, the use of modern machinery, and the excellent collaboration of all team members, the measure was completed smoothly and successfully.

This project is another example of how SWIETELSKY delivers high-quality results even under challenging conditions with competent teamwork and technical expertise.
