The branch based in Traunstein has received approval from the German Institute for Structural Engineering in Berlin (DIBt).
The approval was granted for the mixed material type AC 11 D N 50/70 applicable to the mixing plants Dürnhart, Ebersberg, Emmerting, Karlskron, and Nußdorf. This is a low-carbon mixed material type made from granite without the addition of asphalt granulate and lime filler. To distinguish it from products of other companies, the mixed material type has been branded as Traunsteiner Siloasphalt. The mixed material type can now be produced at these mixing plants.
As a sealing layer or silo covering, only asphalt mixed material with general construction supervisory approval may be used in Germany. This is a requirement from the Water Resources Act (WHG). Furthermore, this matter is addressed in the information sheet on asphalt construction methods for facilities handling water-polluting substances (M A-UwS). This applies, for example, to the installation of surface layers made of asphalt in the construction of biogas plants, driving silo facilities, as well as filling and storage areas in JGS facilities.
