Construction Guild releases apprentices and handed over the journeyman's certificate as a symbol of the foundation of a successful future. The guild winner trained at SWIETELSKY in Traunstein.
Crisis mood in construction - declining orders, rising interest rates, high construction costs, and excessive bureaucracy are challenging the industry. However, there was nothing to feel in the Teisendorf post barn during the release of the apprentices from the companies of the Construction Guild Berchtesgadener Land, focusing on masonry. The business owners agreed: Times are tough, but we will get through it. Not least with a motivated and largely very successful new generation. The demand in new construction as well as in existing construction, especially in residential construction, remains high.
Decided on a crisis-proof profession
The previous master craftsman and board member of the guild, Bernhard Fuchs, stated that behind the young journeymen lie three partly tough years: “Apprenticeships are not gentlemen's years.” The young people have chosen a crisis-proof profession. “Stay true to the construction industry!” he urged them. He encouraged them to pass on their expertise to future apprentices. The central theme is the recruitment of young talent and skilled workers. Fuchs acknowledged parents, teachers, trainers in the companies, and the educational center of the Chamber of Crafts.
Georg Quentin, deputy mayor of Teisendorf, said in his capacity as "host" that he was pleased that the young journeymen had achieved their qualifications even in difficult times. The journeyman's certificate is a “symbol for the foundation of their future.” The journeymen have shown that they possess not only technical skills but also a willingness to learn, perseverance, and diligence. “It is a day of joy and gratitude,” said the deputy district administrator of Berchtesgadener Land, Michael Koller. “Today is the crowning of your apprenticeship,” said the trained carpenter, who still fondly remembers his own release ceremony. “You can look forward to your bright future. You are needed, we are counting on you.”
Outstanding in many good individual results were guild winner Manuel Bichler from the training company Swietelsky Baugesellschaft in Traunstein, followed by Thomas Huber from the construction company Franz Mader in Oberteisendorf, Andreas Rotter from the company Ederer & Oberleitner Bau in Obing, and Pius Steinbacher from the company Mayer Hoch- und Tiefbau in Ruhpolding.
