Across a total of 2.200 metres of track, the foundations were laid for greater operational safety and availability—with a clear focus on quality, teamwork and efficient solutions.
Two construction methods, one goal:
- 1.100 m conventional track renewal under full possession
- 1.100 m mechanised renewal under single-track Possession
Scope of works in detail:
Mechanised renewal using an assembly-line process:
- Ballast cleaning
- Sleeper and rail renewal
- Tamping and lining works
Conventional renewal:
- Dismantling and formation of the subgrade
- Installation of new sleepers and rails
- Precise track geometry correction
Overall result:
- 4.400 m of rails renewed3.900
