B33 2

Im Rahmen einer Fahrbahndeckenerneuerung (FDE) wurde auf der B33 ein rund 1,2 Kilometer langer Streckenabschnitt instandgesetzt.

In total, around 14,500 m² of asphalt pavement was renewed to sustainably improve the road’s performance and durability.

The asphalt was laid to a total thickness of 12 cm, comprising binder and wearing courses. Warm-mix asphalt (WMA / TA) was used, which lowers energy consumption thanks to reduced production and laying temperatures, cuts emissions during installation, and thereby supports more environmentally friendly road construction.

For quality assurance, the QSBW 4.0 monitoring programme was applied. It enables continuous monitoring and complete documentation of all relevant paving parameters, supporting consistently high execution quality. Lime slurry was also used to ensure optimal bond between the layers.

With this measure, the B33 was specifically strengthened as an important transport link, making a further contribution to a reliable and high-performing infrastructure.
